The STC Berkeley chapter will not have a formal meeting with a guest speaker in December this year. Instead, on the second Wednesday we will have a networking and socializing event in the Uptown neighborhood of Oakland. In the wake of the East Bay chapter merger with the Berkeley chapter, this will be a chance for the memberships of both chapters to meet and get to know each other in a friendly atmosphere.
The location is the Lost and Found Beer Garden on Telegraph Avenue at 20th Street. This is an informal event. The Berkeley chapter will spring for snacks and soft drinks; you can buy other drinks at the bar if you like.
The location is convenient to people in the Berkeley-Oakland area, and also for members coming from east of the hills. It is around the corner from the 19th Street BART station, and a two-minute drive from the 27th Street exit from I-980. (And a ten-minute drive from Orinda.)
So come join others from the Berkeley and East Bay chapters to relax and talk shop—or not—on a Wednesday evening.
Please RSVP by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org so we know how many are coming.
Date: Wednesday, December 11, 2019
Time: 7:00 until 8:30 (Approximately—you need not stay for the entire time.)
Location: Lost and Found Beer Garden, 2040 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland. We plan to be in the area just inside the door, in front of the bar. http://lostandfound510.com/
