We welcome you to the
Berkeley Chapter
of the Society for Technical Communication.
If you work as a technical writer or trainer, graphic designer, indexer,
webmaster, production designer, pubs manager, or any of the many other
technical communication roles, this is the place for you! Here you will
find information about our Chapter's past and future activities, STC news
and information, and many resources for technical communicators -- all
tailored to your needs.
Our Chapter has loose geographical boundaries, extending all the way from Vallejo to Fremont, and centered in Berkeley, California (a location that represents both a social and geographical heart for our Chapter).
We look forward to meeting you in person. Please join us at our next monthly meeting at the Highlands Country Club, which is a fantastically nice facility!
In the meantime, explore our Chapter's website, learn about us, discover what we have achieved so far, and how you can assist us in the next few months! We want you involved, active, committed, supportive, and successful in your achievements (both personal and professional).
Website Operation Instructions:
The Berkeley STC Chapter's website is optimized to be viewed in Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE). Be sure to set your IE text size (View/Text Size) option to smallest, as larger text sizes will overflow the tables and make the site look bad. Other browsers will present the material in ways that can be distracting, but you can configure these browsers to approximate the look in IE.
Use the
Green Navigation Menu
to the left of each webpage, and select from any of the menu items contained within the menu. For instance, click on the navigation bar item

to get the latest information about our Chapter and STC.
