Email job list for job seekers

The Berkeley STC Chapter maintains a free email jobs list, announcing the availability of Bay Area technical communication jobs. Jobs posted to the list are submitted directly to the Berkeley STC Chapter by employers and recruiters.

To subscribe to the jobs list, follow the instructions below:

Log into the email account where you want to receive job leads.
Send email to STCJOBSBA-L-request@stc-berkeley.org . Leave the subject line blank, and type the following command in the first line of the message body:
subscribe

Soon you will receive an email from the Berkeley STC Chapter welcoming you to the list and confirming your subscription.
Save this message for future reference. It contains instructions for unsubscribing from the list.

We make every attempt to ensure the jobs submitted to the list are accurate and up to date. If you have concerns about a posting, please contact Caroline Scharf (employment@stc-berkeley.org). Your feedback can help ensure that the list remains useful to subscribers.

Email job submissions for employers/recruiters

The Berkeley STC Chapter maintains a free email submission system for those who wish to announce job leads in the San Francisco Bay Area. Announcements go to technical writers, editors, illustrators, trainers, desktop publishers, web designers and other technical communication professionals who voluntarily subscribe to the list.

To submit a job lead (or if you have any questions), send email to jobsba@stc-berkeley.org.

At a minimum, include the following details about your open position:

NOTE ONE - FILE FORMAT:
Send the job description in plain text format (.txt) (as opposed to Microsoft Word or other format).

NOTE TWO - OPEN JOBS ONLY:
To ensure that the list is useful to our subscribers, we ask that you post only jobs that are currently open. If you withdraw or fill your position soon after posting it to the list, please notify us right away so that we can notify subscribers.
